According to ESOMAR market research:
The first 9.5km of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway will be temporarily opened to traffic on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025
The first and last sections of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway, 9.5km long, passing through Long An and Dong Nai provinces,
will be opened to traffic before Tet At Ty 2025, helping to reduce traffic pressure in the area.
The Vietnam Road Administration has just issued a decision approving the traffic organization plan to temporarily
put into operation 2 sections of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway during Tet At Ty 2025.
The scope includes the first section of the expressway, 3.4km long, from the intersection of Ho Chi Minh
City - Trung Luong Expressway (Long An province) to National Highway 1 (Ho Chi Minh City);
The final section of the route through Dong Nai province is 6.1 km long, opening both intersections with BOT
Road 319 and National Highway 51 in Long Thanh District.
The two temporarily opened sections will help connect the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway with other roads in the area,
helping to reduce traffic density and limit congestion, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year 2025.
According to the operation plan, the first section of the route is expected to allow trucks under 10 tons,
passenger cars, small cars, and vehicles serving the project; fire trucks, ambulances to travel at a maximum speed
of 40km/h (through the intersection) and 60km/h (outside the intersection).
For the final section of the route, the maximum speed allowed outside the intersection is 100km/h and a minimum of 60km/h.
This section is for cars only, motorbikes, pedestrians are prohibited...
The Department of Roads requests the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) to preside over and coordinate with
the Road Management Area IV (if necessary, invite other agencies, organizations and individuals) to review the approved
temporary traffic organization plan; at the same time, proactively adjust and supplement necessary tasks and items
before officially organizing temporary traffic.
