In addition, Ho Chi Minh City Police have encouraged people to report traffic violations through the Zalo application,

the Vietnamese version of WeChat, since the middle of last year.

Over the past six months, people have submitted more than 1,880 information and the police have

punished 128 violations based on this, with a total fine of nearly VND500 million and 61 driving licenses revoked.

However, there are no specific instructions on rewarding individuals and organizations for providing

information, so it has not been implemented.

One week after Decree 168 was implemented, traffic conditions in Ho Chi Minh City have improved.

During rush hour, drivers are more aware of obeying traffic signals, stopping vehicles according to regulations,

and order has improved.

Ho Chi Minh City has a population of more than 10 million people, the number of motor vehicles exceeds 9.5 million,

including more than 1 million cars and about 8.5 million motorbikes.

However, the city's road density is only 2.44 km/km2, much lower than the standard of 10 to 13 km/km2,

causing many roads to be overloaded.

After implementing Decree 168 in many places, the amount of fines for traffic violations has also increased.

One week after implementing the new regulations, Hanoi has handled more than 5,600 violations,

fined more than 14 billion VND
